The open mind freedom festival (formerly known as dance for drug law reform) raises money annually during the Nimbin mardi grass and donates to various community projects and services, support the event that supports our community. To date $15,000 has been fed back into Nimbin community through this event, some of the beneficiaries include the Nimbin hospital, Nimbin fire brigade, the skatepark, Nim FM, Tuntable Falls pre school, Nimbin community pre school, Kunghur fire brigade, Tassie forest campaign and the local indidj mob.
